This morning GI author Mischa Balen met former US President Bill Clinton and current UK Chancellor Gordon Brown after a lecture at London’s Guildhall. At the lecture, with trade union protesters outside demanding public sector retirement at the age of 60, Brown spoke on the importance of free trade. Bill Clinton delivered a 45-minute speech saying that we are in a new economic paradigm, that we are all becoming interdependent and that progressive politics needs to adapt to this new model.
