On Tuesday we held a debate in Portcullis House on "Free trade or targeted protection: what should developing countries do?". Andrew Mitchell MP, the Shadow Secretary of State for International Development chaired the meeting, and we had a superb panel of speakers including Philippe Legrain of Prospect magazine (and author of Open World: The Truth About Globalisation), John Hilary from War on Want, and Ross Clark of The Times and The Spectator (and author of The Great Before). I particularly liked the fact that we had a very wide of views and perspectives from the audience, which worked really well. Many thanks to everyone who participated. Comments (0)
