Job opportunity at the Globalisation Institute
By Alex Singleton | 25 August 2005
The Globalisation Institute is looking for a recent graduate to join the team in a management position in early 2006, taking charge of fundraising and helping develop the strategic plan of the institute. Much of the work will involve researching potential donors and developing grant proposals for foundations, particularly those based in the USA. The position will be based in London but candidates do not need to be British citizens.
We are looking for an outgoing person with outstanding communication skills and written English.
The successful candidate will understand trade policy and international development in general terms, being familiar with current thinking about the global economy, particularly the role of markets in fighting poverty. Experience of the workings of the US think tank world would be beneficial.
If you wish to apply please e-mail jobs @ globalizationinstitute.org with: a covering letter explaining your interest in the job; a CV or resumé; 250 words on your interests; 500 words on your initial thoughts about fundraising for the GI; and a photograph.
