Cambridge Union debate

I was speaking at a debate at the Cambridge Union last night, speaking against the motion "This house believes there will always be a clash of civilizations". I opened the debate for the opposition and pointed out that it is not in the interests of business as a whole to have the instability or the cost of war; that the Middle East would go liberal as oil ceases to be used for energy; and that liberal economies prefer peace.
